  1. Droid Turboe

Similar to others feedback, moto does not work in vehicle. For F150 w sync. When I had a Maxx system would verbally tell me new text and I would say listen and it would read it to me. With Turbo the last two months in same vehicle, never has worked. Doesn't alert me and when I see them and say listen, cannot hear anything. New update pushed through this morning and still doesn't work. Looked at other suggestions you have provided and turned on audio troubleshooting and still not working.
  2. Accessibility not turning on

I dnt know this is a bug or not but when i go to settings > accessibility > moto voice > turn on.... It just doesn't turn on. When i slide the bar to turn it on and press 'ok'.. There's no response at all. As a result i cant turn on any apps using voice command. Pls reply and sort this out. Thank you
  3. Nicknames not recognized. Great app whatsoever

This is very useful app. I use it all the time. Please incorporate the nickname feature introduced by Google into the moto voice app. Currently moto voice does not recognize nicknames assigned to a specific contact. It only know the actual contact name. Please include that feature too
  4. Lollipop update ruined app

Before when running in 4.4.4 KitKat everything worked great. I sit in my car the phone automatically connects to the cars Bluetooth and when I start driving it automatically launches and plays Pandora displaying the song information on my head unit. Now after upgrading to lollipop and updating all the apps there isn't even a driving option anymore. I thought OK no big deal I just do it manually and when I do it connects, but won't display any song information on my head unit. App worked better in 4.4.

Since I updated my moto x 1st gen to lollipop 5.1 it doesn't recognize my voice from a little far. I have to place my phone within 2 feet to wake it using voice. In KitKat 4.4.4 it was listening from even farther. Motorola please fix this via update.

I really wanted to be able to say "Hey, watch what my phone can do! " But instead, I never use this feature because it's ultimately just clunky and unreliable. Smh. Time to switch to iPhone I guess. Motorola will have to improve voice recognition if they really want to be taken seriously.
  7. 5.1 update

Messed with this app. I've tried several different launch phrases and no matter which I use, it launches at random while watching TV or just having a conversation.

On Moto X 2nd generation with Lollipop 5.1, app does not work if in vicinity of connected (Bluetooth) Panasonic Link to Cell cordless phone. When I say "OK Moto X" the "Hi there" screen appears and then disappears before I can give it a command. If I turn off Bluetooth or if I am not in the vicinity of the Panasonic link to cell cordless phone, the application works fine.
  9. Driving is useless.

Meeting and sleep works great, but the driving assist is not usable. It reads texts at too low of a volume, and refuses to play music when connecting to Bluetooth.
  10. Works like crap with lollipop

Won't complete calls. Won't send text. Won't respond to, "f**k you Google Now!" Worked treat before lollipop upgrade.

It gets worse everyday. It won't even respond. If it does its on a rare occasion. I've restarted my phone, improved the launch phrase, changed it, cleared the cache and closed any apps that might make the phone run slow. Ever since the lollipop update it has gotten progressively worse. For a feature that was heavily advertised, it is really disappointing that it can't improve or even withstand an update.

There seems to be a problem, in which at times moto voice some times recognizes my voice and other times it just goes off randomly. In addition it's really frustrating at times when trying the get motion moto voice to recognize my voice. Please please fix these bugs.
  13. Volume makes this useless

I always have my phone playing music over Bluetooth in the car. Nothing I try raises the volume of this app. It is too low to hear. I stayed with moto x on the 2nd generation specifically for this feature. Now I have no reason to stay with Motorola. Still true in next version and 2nd car. Except it does not mute the music at all. Useless.

Loving Moto Voice so far - it's really impressive...I just have one request/advice on how to change the speech output to a different language, english (UK) for instance? It's easy enough to change this for Google Voice but was wondering if Moto even offers this capability.
  15. Used to work just fine

After android update to 5.1, the launch phrase doesn't work anymore. Once I uninstall the updates for moto voice though, it seems to work

Having issues with the volume while it is reading text. Starts off loud then drops to a point you can't hear it. Is there an update for this coming out soon? I've emailed months ago with no response! How long is this going to go on without fixing it?
  18. Doesn't work very well

Had the 2014 moto X since February and in that time I've gotten to know it very well. Moto voice is THE feature I bought the phone for and it doesn't work as I had hoped. I'll be across the room literally screaming at it and it does nothing. If its in my pocket, its still the same deal, and God forbid there's noise in the background: "okay Google now!" "Beedoop!" "Whats the weather?" 10-20 seconds later (actual time 10-20 seconds) "The population of Istanbul is 14.03 million in 2014." A bit ridiculous.
  19. Could be better.
    James Pollock
    14/07/15
Wish it could play music without Moto having to open YouTube. Also, when I receive a message and I say stop to end the message process, it does nothing and says "let's try again later". It seems that after the 5.1 update, you have to be in a dead silent room to get it to work properly.
  20. Needs Bluetooth delay compensation
    Greg Nicolett
    30/05/15
UPDATE: There's a 2-3 second audio buffer, meaning any sound the Moto X makes doesn't play over the car speakers til 2 seconds after (only with music and voice commands, not with phone calls.) This delay causes havoc with various features requiring user feedback (such as reading out and responding to text messages) because the phone actually hears it's own voice and thinks it's my response. If you like I can make a video of the problem.
